Purewave balanced circuit design:

Purewave is the name that we have given to the advanced, symmetric dual-mone circuit topologies found in our latest premium level devices, such as the Ifi neo and the IFI Diablo DAC and headphones amplifier.

The name refers to the sound purity achieved of these designs, thanks to an exceptional linearity and infinitesimally low noise and distortion levels.

The XDSD Gryphon is the smallest and most affordable device presented by the Purewave design.

Optimaloop

"Negative feedback" is used in amplifier circuits to compare output signal with the input signal and correct errors, in order to control the gain and reduce distortion.

For sound quality, this is positive but a unique approach for everyone to "global negative feedback" can highlight different problems while solving others: corruption of the error signal, phase changes, group delay. These have a negative impact on sound quality.

The different parts of a circuit benefit from a specific optimization of feedback loops, so we have developed a negative system feedback that is much more precise than the usual approach.

This incorporates multiple feedback routes instead of a global bulce, each optimized route for a particular function and functioning synergily with others to offer optimal general performance. We call this new configuration.

Unique adjustable sound

Adapt the sound to adapt to your headphones and your personal sound liking.

XBBASS II: Bass Boost analog

Improves low frequencies without clouding the middle range. The loss serious response is "adds" to obtain more precise reproduction of original music.

Xspace: Analog headphones

Open your music to give you the amplitude of a live concert. It recreates a holographic sound field, the purely analog signal processing circuit is designed to listen to headphones as if you were listening to speakers.

Digital filtrate

The XDSD Gryphon has three filters:

  • BP: Bit Perfect, without digital filtering
  • GTO: sampled at 384/352 kHz, minimum filtering, without pre-timbre and timbre adjusted to the minimum
  • STD: modest, pre -modest filtering and adjusted bell

With integrated IEMATCH

  • The IFI XDSD Gryphon also has an integrated IEMatch
  • With IEMATCH, even in-to-air headphones (IEM) with more sensitivity can be combined with the IFI XDSD Gryphon
